EXPERIENCE
June 2022 - August 2022
Worked with the Data Center Automation team in Amazon Web Services to create a pipeline to house background jobs for data center operations tools.
• Designed and developed a background job micro-service to facilitate migration from a deprecated framework to Native Amazon Web Services (NAWS).
• Deployed and scaled micro-service to handle 7000+ Work Orders per minute; drafted road-map for migration of other services to proposed NAWS architecture.
• Setup up development pipelines, logging, and alarms to ensure safe deployment equipped with testing scenarios; reduced on call tickets related to service by 100%.
July 2019 - July 2021
Part of the Office 365 team working on Word on Web which sought to bring the document editing experience of Microsoft Word to the web browser.
• Designed and implemented an end-to-end solution for Ruler components for Office Online applications using ReactJS in Typescript and C#.
• Modernized the codebase by moving client-side code from Script-Sharp (Microsoft Internal) to Typescript to better support JavaScript functionality.
• Alleviated customer-impacting service outages by being an active part of the On-Call Engineer rotation which required the monitoring of Office 365 data centers' health.
• Worked on the major overhaul of the UI/UX to comply with Microsoft’s Fluent UI design guidelines and gauged user feedback by running a series of AB/n experiments.
January 2019 - June 2019
Interned with the Product Engineering team at Airtel X-Labs. Worked on the intelligence pipeline which powers the sim acquisition process for customers.
• Created a propriety face anti-spoofing dataset of images to implement a novel method to catch face spoofing attacks with an accuracy of ~96%.
• Optimized performance of document shear detection and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) in Aadhar Cards using OpenCV and Convolutional Recurrent Neural Networks.
May 2018 - June 2018
Interned with the Software Development team at Aspiring Minds working on Automata – an online programming assessment tool.
• Researched and implemented a method to detect plagiarism in a controlled test environment using face tracking.
• Implemented a system to detect and authorize faces using Haar Cascades and facial landmarks.
